DJ JURI(太鼓DUB)
オリジナリティ溢れるパーカッシブなトライバルサウンド「太鼓DUB」を武器として、ダンスミュージックをクリエイトする女性DJ/プロデューサー。
オリジナル楽曲のアナログ・シングル盤を次々にＮＯ．１ヒットさせる実力派。
今までリリースされた「太鼓ＤＵＢ」ＥＰシリーズは、その３つがヒットチャート１位を獲得。
2009年、モルディヴ共和国にて現地アーティストと共にレコーディング＆DJツアー。
モルディブ共和国のトライバル音楽と自身の「太鼓ＤＵＢ」を融合させて、新しいトライバル・ダンス・ミュージックを制作。
モルディブ共和国より、音楽を通じて環境や文化を世界に伝える音楽親善大使に任命される。
以前にも、タスマニアで収録した自然音や動物の声などを使いダンスミュージックを制作し、オーストラリア政府より、音楽親善大使に任命された経歴を持つ。
各国の音楽を取り入れクリエイトされるトラックを通じて、多方面で国際親善に貢献。
また、タスマニアで撮影した素材を使い、曲のビデオクリップも発表。音楽、映像プロデューサーとしての活動の幅も広げる。
2009年3月に開催された沖縄国際映画祭では、オープニング曲に自身のオリジナル楽曲"Syamisen No Utage"が抜擢されるなど、国内での評価も確実なものとしている。
2008年5月にはオリジナルアルバムを発表。
このアルバムに収録された楽曲"ABORHYTHM"はオーストラリアを代表するアボリジニー(原住民の意)アーティト"RussellDawson"との共作で、現地でレコーディングを行い、リリースパーティーに
於いては、日本に招聘しLIVEでの日本初共演を実現させる。
また、世界的に認知されている音響ブランド"DENON"、世界NO1のシェアを誇るDJ GEARブランド"UDG"が、その実力を認め日本人では異例の海外サポート契約をするなど、その活動の舞台はグローバルな広がりを見せている。

A Japanese female DJ/ producer who creates dance music filled with originality and utilizes "taiko dub", a percussive and tribal sound, as her weapon.
As well as being active as a DJ, she has been prominently active as a music and visual producer and also been assigned as a music goodwill ambassador for Japanese/ Australia ties and recently was invited in Tasmania, for the inaugural voyage of the East Japan ferry, Express Alumi Boat, Nacchan, Rera’ event and to record there as well. She has also released the video clip of her new track, TASMANI@.jp.
From the release of DJ Juri/ Taiko Dub EP from Flower Records in June 25th, 2005, with the hit singles, TAIKOON, Syamisen No Utage included Taiko Dub EP series, Part 1-3 which was number 1 in the Cisco house sales charts and has been getting great critical acclaim from a cross selection of places. Also, starting from the Taiko DUB EP series, her original tracks, video clip are available at Beatport. In March 7th, 2007, Flower Records has released, Taiko Dub Mix CD-TRIBAL TRIP which includes 3 tracks from the Taiko Dub EP as well as a new track from her. Also, as a bonus disc DVD, the video clip of the new track, Savanna Trip is included, which DJ Juri herself directed, which furthermore showcases her production sense vividly.
Also, from 2006, along with her activities as DJ Juri, she has formed a unit called “Onna-KUNOICHI”, a DJ/ Wadaiko performance unit with a female Japanese percussionist, Mie. With her strong productions, fused with a live Japanese percussionsist, they perform together an creates an incredible, Japanese style “real” dance music.
